Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, driving human capital management initiatives that align with our organizational goals. You will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and implementing effective HR strategies that support talent acquisition, performance management and succession planning.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR strategies, programs, and best practices.
- Align HR initiatives with organizational goals and ensure effective execution.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
- Manage benefits administration, leave processes, and HR reporting.
Multi-State Payroll Management
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple states.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Conduct regular payroll audits to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to resolve payroll issues and inquiries promptly.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations matters.
- Manage employee concerns, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and execute employee engagement programs and feedback surveys.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Talent Management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
- Implement and manage performance management systems and succession planning.
- Partner with Learning & Development teams to address talent gaps and growth strategies.
Compliance & Legal
- Stay up to date on all applicable labor laws and HR regulations.
- Ensure HR and payroll practices comply with legal standards and company policies.
- Advise leadership on compliance issues, risk mitigation, and policy interpretation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant multi-state payroll management.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – advanced), TriNet Payroll System, and HRIS platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Proven experience implementing and managing HR programs.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
