Operator II, Manufacturing
Location: Eugene, OR
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Summary

The Operator II will support laboratory manufacturing and quality control activities for the Transplant Diagnostics business. The role involves preparing materials, operating equipment, packaging products, maintaining inventory, and following laboratory and manufacturing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense biological reagents and prepare reagents and buffers.
• Label bottles, vials, boxes, and other products.
• Package, seal, and scan diagnostic assays.
• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Update and maintain raw material and product inventory.
• Assist with final product processing.
• Safely store and monitor materials, products, and supplies.
• Follow written laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and laboratory data.
• Troubleshoot basic production or laboratory issues.
• Handle multiple tasks and meet assigned work schedules.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisors and follow corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and practices.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Ability to work with biological and chemical reagents.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Work at laboratory benches, computer stations, and low-temperature freezers.
• Ability to lift laboratory equipment and other items weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
