San Francisco/Bay Area - Full Time
Salary Range: $75,000-$110,000 based on experience and skill level.
Position Overview
We build luxury custom homes, estates, and renovations with unmatched craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and concierge-level service. Black Mountain Construction is seeking a Construction Service Technician to join our Service & Repair Division. This hands-on role requires a skilled professional with a strong eye for detail, a craftsman’s touch, and excellent interpersonal skills. You'll be responsible for executing high-quality repairs, upgrades, and small construction projects—often in occupied, luxury homes—while delivering an exceptional client experience.
Reporting to the Service & Repair Manager, this position blends technical work, client-facing service, and project coordination. Discretion, cleanliness, and precision are essential.
Key Responsibilities
As a Service Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for:
• Serve as the primary client contact for assigned service projects, providing clear and courteous communication
• Perform and manage hands-on construction and repair work to the highest standards
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful job sites, especially in occupied residences
• Document job progress with detailed daily logs and reports
• Track, manage, and proactively resolve open service items
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and consistency throughout all stages of work
• Identify potential new service opportunities while on-site
• Support home maintenance programs and periodic inspections
What You Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and committed to quality. The ideal candidate will possess:
• 7+ years of residential construction experience (high-end homes preferred)
• Strong carpentry and general construction skills
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
• A professional appearance and demeanor, with strong communication abilities
• Basic computer proficiency (for logs, reports, etc.)
• OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Ability to maintain operation and cleanliness of company vehicle
