Kaleidoscope Childcare Center is a NYS OCFS licensed daycare providing high-quality care and education for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. Now Hiring: Full-Time Toddler Teacher

(CDA or Degree in Early Childhood Education REQUIRED)

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, energetic, and committed to supporting the growth and development of children ages 18 months to 3 years.


About the Role

As a Toddler Teacher at Kaleidoscope, you will play a crucial role in supporting early development during a formative stage of childhood. Through responsive caregiving, hands-on exploration, and structured routines, you will help toddlers build independence, confidence, and early social skills. We are seeking someone who brings:

Our teachers support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while building strong partnerships with families and fellow staff to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers
  • Support learning through play, exploration, and daily routines
  • Create a warm, safe, and structured classroom environment
  • Promote language development, motor skills, and social interaction
  • Meet the daily physical, emotional, and developmental needs of toddlers
  • Maintain clear, positive, and professional communication with parents
  • Complete daily documentation (notes, attendance, incident/accident reports)
  • Assist with diapering/toileting, mealtimes, transitions, and rest time
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers to maintain a supportive teaching team
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and well-prepared with engaging materials
  • Physically able to lift/move up to 30 lbs and participate in floor activities
