Job Description
  • Teach and support infants and toddlers in key developmental areas (communication, motor, social‐emotional, cognitive, and self‐help skills).
  • Create a safe, engaging classroom environment and guide Instructor Assistants, volunteers, and family participants.
  • Travel to homes and other ECE locations to provide instruction and family support.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessments, progress data, and IFSP/IEP documentation.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update IFSPs and IEPs.
  • Provide service coordination when requested, including helping families navigate meetings, timelines, and transitions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to support developmental goals.
  • Conduct developmental assessments using formal and informal tools.
  • Plan and deliver individualized instruction and daily lesson plans for home and classroom settings.
  • Support students during arrival and departure.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree required; Early Intervention Specialist Certification – Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities; Early Childhood Intervention Specialist License - Ohio Department of Education; Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull fifty pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of up to twenty-five pounds; must be able to lift physically handicapped and non-ambulatory individuals
