Seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients while ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient intake processes, including gathering medical histories and conducting initial assessments.
  • Measure and record vital signs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Administer medications and perform basic life support as needed.
  • Support physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively for documentation and communication within the team.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare patients for X-rays or other diagnostic procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency medicine and geriatrics.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Experience
Candidates should have 2 years current experience in a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to:

  • Pulmonology, internal medicine, or urgent care environments.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care practices.
  • Proficiency in ICD coding for accurate billing processes.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to Pulmonary medicine.

  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficient in taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
