Seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients while ensuring efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient intake processes, including gathering medical histories and conducting initial assessments.
- Measure and record vital signs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Administer medications and perform basic life support as needed.
- Support physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively for documentation and communication within the team.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare patients for X-rays or other diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency medicine and geriatrics.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Experience
Candidates should have 2 years current experience in a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to:
- Pulmonology, internal medicine, or urgent care environments.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care practices.
- Proficiency in ICD coding for accurate billing processes.

Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.

- Proficient in taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
