Quality Inspector - Aerospace Manufacturing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and ensure travelers, inspection reports, and key characteristic documentation are completed accurately and properly maintained.
• Verify all quality documentation is legible, complete, and accurate.
• Verify operator part counts and make corrections within the ERP system as necessary.
• Perform final inspections of products in accordance with final inspection plans and data collection requirements.
• Prepare and complete customer certification packages and save documentation in the appropriate network locations.
• Close inspection jobs within the ERP system upon completion.
• Move completed jobs to the next operation according to job routing requirements.
• Assist with investigations and analysis of customer returns when required.
• Support non-conforming material activities including red tags, scrap disposition, and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Participate as a team member in corrective and preventive action activities.
• Complete special projects and assignments as delegated by management.
• Knowledge and experience using precision measuring equipment including:
• • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Bore gages
  • Pin gages
  • Other standard inspection equipment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
