Certified Medical Assistant

Looking for certified medical assistant to join our health care team.

We are a non-profit clinic with over 20 years of service to an immigrant population.

Candidate must be able to administer vaccines, perform venipuncture on adult and pediatric patients starting at age 2.

Must be able to take accurate vital signs including manual blood pressure as needed, and recognize abnormals, and have ease of use of computer programs, including electronic medical records.

Fluency (written and spoken) in both English and Spanish to meet the needs of the community is a plus as well as being up to date on vaccines for health care workers.

Additional skills that would benefit this job opportunity are insurance verification, appointment scheduling, telephone etiquette, and documentation of vaccines in New Jersey Immunization System.

EKG and spirometry skills as well as familiarity with vaccine schedules a plus.

Candidate must be able to function without extensive supervision..

Hours are daytime with some flexibility totaling 30 hours a week including Saturdays 9-2.

Candidate must have 1 year of medical assistant experience and possess BLS or CPR certification, phlebotomy, and a nationally recognized medical assistant certificate.
