Lead Preschool Teacher

KCA is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated preschool teacher to join our team. In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment where our preschool-aged children can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are looking for an experienced and caring Preschool Lead Teacher to oversee our curriculum program. You will collaborate with our assistant teachers to prepare children for school both academically and socially by using age-appropriate lesson plans, selecting effective developmental materials for the classroom, and utilizing positive behavior reinforcement. We keep our teacher-to-student ratio small to enable you to provide individualized care for every child in our program.

Preschool Lead Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood development or early childhood education or an existing CDA
• At least two years of teaching or child care experience
• First aid and CPR certification

Preschool Lead Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum
• Support creativity and learning
• Provide supervision during activities
• Select age-appropriate developmental materials for the classroom
• Keep classroom neat and organized
• Provide parents with progress reports
• File incident reports as needed
• Assist in classroom cleaning, sanitizing, and organization throughout the day. Lead the preparation of the environment for the following class day to ensure a fresh, welcoming start for students.
