Quality Inspector - Metal Stamping & Fabrication

Quality Inspector

Pay: [$21 to $25] per hour
Schedule: [2nd Shift]
Location: [Mundelein, IL]

We are hiring an experienced Quality Inspector for our metal stamping and fabrication operation. This is a hands-on position for someone who can read blueprints, inspect close-tolerance parts, and confidently use precision measuring tools.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished parts
• Read blueprints and engineering specifications
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and optical comparators
• Complete first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Document inspection results and identify nonconforming parts
• Work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues
• Help improve quality processes and prevent repeat problems

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of manufacturing inspection experience
• Experience inspecting close-tolerance mechanical parts
• Ability to read blueprints
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring equipment
• Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Experience

• GD&T
• Metal stamping or fabrication
• ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
• CMM operation
