Job Description
CONCRETE MIXER TRUCK DRIVER / OPERATOR (Temporary Job 2-4 months)
(York, Nebraska MAIN BASE) & Surrounding Areas | Hiring ASAP
We are looking to immediately hire a dependable Concrete Mixer Truck Driver/Operator to work in York, Nebraska and surrounding areas.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, takes care of equipment, and can safely operate a concrete mixer truck on active job sites.
Pay
Competitive pay – based on experience.
Concrete mixer experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider experienced CDL drivers who are dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn.
There will be a 40 hour minimum
guarantee each week (Mon-Sat)
Requirements
- Active Class B CDL or higher
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Able to pass applicable DOT/drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver a concrete mixer truck
- Comfortable working around construction sites and heavy equipment
- Able to perform basic pre-trip/post-trip inspections
- Dependable and able to show up on time
- Willing to work varying hours depending on concrete pours and job schedules
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate a concrete mixer truck
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to commercial and construction job sites
- Properly position the truck for concrete placement
- Operate mixer controls and discharge concrete safely
- Communicate with contractors, pump/belt operators, plant personnel, and other drivers
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep the truck and mixer reasonably clean and maintained
- Wash down the mixer/chutes after pours
- Report mechanical or safety issues promptly
- Follow DOT regulations and company/job-site safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
Experience driving a concrete mixer, dump truck, construction truck, or other heavy commercial vehicle is a plus.
Most importantly, we want someone who is reliable, responsible, safety-conscious, and ready to work.
