HDC Residential Direct Care Profession is responsible for assisting with all activities of daily living including but not limited to personal hygiene, toileting, cooking, and cleaning.

We do our best to make working less stressful by offering afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. If you want some extra money in your pocket, we also offer some overtime when available for full-time staff.

Key Functions Include:

Residential

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of nutritional, well-balanced meals
  • Support and supervise leisure time needs, hobbies, interests, and social skills of individuals
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary home
  • Assist in the learning of home skills as deemed appropriate to the individuals' abilities
  • Facilitate the development of community contacts and social skills
  • Administer individuals' medications and document appropriately
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Community

  • Facilitate the development of community contacts and social skills, on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist in individuals' reaching their goals.
  • Support the individual's needs, hobbies, interests, and social skills of individuals
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with less than four (4) points
  • Must clear a criminal background investigation
  • Physically lift 50 pounds and carry for short distances
  • Perform the care needed for a total care individual
  • Be able to stand for long periods without mechanical support
  • Perform house cleaning duties
  • Provide supervision for up to 4 individuals at a time
  • Other duties as assigned
