Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a surgical setting. Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse provides direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistant's, and non-licensed clinical personnel in providing patient care in a surgery setting. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Surgery facility.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Current licensure in Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
Previous clinical nursing experience in provision of medical surgical nursing desired.
Current verification of competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure that LPNs, Medical Assistants, CNA's, and non-licensed clinical staff are performing to their abilities
Work in conjunction with multidisciplinary health team
Meet the nursing needs of surgery patients
Direct the Nursing staff in their performance of providing care to patients in accordance with standards of practice and current federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical and medical principles
Meet the nursing and recovery needs of each patient
Follow Physician’s orders
Render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
Ensures occupational safety for staff by maintaining the Infection Control program, and educating staff on Infection Control. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire safety, emergency management, and IC.
Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols, and initiate CPR/ACLS as required.
Maintains ACLS certification. Keeps skills up to date and increases knowledge and productivity.
