CNC Controls Engineer

• Provide technical assistance to plant operations, write CNC programs for lathes, mills and robotic applications.
• Troubleshoot or modify CNC programs to address quality concerns and improve cycle time performance.
• Develop and document manufacturing process specifications.
• Prepare capital expenditure appropriation requests including detailed engineering analysis and project justification.
• Manage engineering projects from the specification development, quotation, vendor selection, design, installation, debug and production startup phases of projects.
• Propose, develop, and implement manufacturing process improvements by equipment redesign, tooling redesign or process modifications.
• Interpret manufacturing equipment specifications and develop appropriate operational practices.
• Analyze new product designs for manufacturing feasibility and process definition and provide technical assistance in the development of new products and processes.
