The Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light trucks and a mixed vehicle fleet. Working as part of a small team, this role involves using both manufacturer-specific and generic diagnostic tools and advanced computerized systems to ensure high-quality vehicle performance with minimal customer interaction. Occasional workshops offer opportunities for skill development and advancement. Our environment is very casual, very low stress, work at your own pace.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using advanced computerized and manual techniques
- Conduct repairs and routine maintenance on light trucks and mixed fleet vehicles
- Replace parts and check fluids to maintain vehicle functionality
- Utilize various diagnostic tools including manufacturer-specific and generic scanners
- Keep accurate records of completed work and test vehicles post-repair
- Participate in test drives to verify repair quality
- Maintain minimal interaction with customers while delivering excellent service
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in automotive repair
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with engine repair, brake systems, electrical systems, and HVAC repair
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities
- Strong time management and teamwork skills
