Route Shuttle Driver

Route Shuttle Driver is responsible for the day-to-day shuttle of ice cream and frozen food product to our Route Salesman throughout southern South Carolina and eastern Georgia.

Candidates are expected to perform all duties in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures. Candidates must exude a commitment to teamwork, a clean and professional appearance, and enthusiasm for customer-focused relations.

This position does not require any weekend or overnight routes. Very competitive pay and health care is available. Potential for pay raises and promotions based on performance. A CDL license is not required but preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

- Ability to work in fast paced environment while being self-motivated

- Candidate must be able to obtain a valid medical examiners certificate (medical card)

RESPONSIBILITES:

- Shuttle product from warehouse to Route Salesman in various locations, daily.

- Deliver and set up freezer equipment at customer locations with or without product. Make sure equipment is working properly before departing.

- Pick up freezer equipment from customer locations. May occasionally need to inventory product or clean out freezer equipment.

- Occasionally assist Route Salesman with large store set-ups.

- Occasionally make store deliveries while providing courteous, efficient and professional service to our customers

VEHICLE:

- Maintain a clean vehicle at all times, interior and exterior

- Drive safely and abide by all appropriate traffic rules and regulations

- Report any and all moving violations/accidents immediately

- Perform basic maintenance such as checking the oil or tire pressure

- Report any vehicle maintenance concerns to supervisor

- Maintain proper mileage logs both in truck and office
