About the Role:
Arcadia Playschool is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood education team in Arcadia, CA! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a nurturing and playful environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for preschool-aged children
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and transitions
- Assist with the development and implementation of early childhood curriculum
- Communicate openly and positively with parents and guardians regarding child progress
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space
- Observe and document child behavior and developmental milestones
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE units or Child Development coursework preferred
- Prior experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
