RN Nurse Consultant

The RN Nurse Consultant provides expert nursing consultation and clinical assessments primarily within long-term care facilities. This role focuses on enhancing compliance, quality improvement, and policy development through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, while offering advisory services without direct patient care. The consultant will frequently travel and work alongside medium-sized teams to support nursing staff and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and nursing consultations in long-term care settings
• Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Develop and review policies to support clinical best practices
• Provide staff training to improve clinical skills and compliance awareness
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality improvement initiatives
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Advise management on care planning and clinical operations
• Support effective communication and problem-solving within teams

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in clinical nursing
• Nursing Home Administrator License
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Expertise in clinical documentation and care planning
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent time management skills
