Grounds/General Labor

Position Summary

The Grounds & General Laborer is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of company-owned and managed properties. This position performs a variety of groundskeeping, cleaning, moving, maintenance assistance, and general labor duties to ensure properties are safe, attractive, and well-maintained for residents, employees, and visitors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, landscaping, common areas, sidewalks, parking areas, and exterior grounds.
• Perform grass cutting, trimming, weed removal, leaf removal, and seasonal cleanup.
• Remove trash, debris, and other unwanted materials from apartments.
• Pressure washing and other exterior cleaning
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather, including shoveling and spreading salt as needed.
• Assist with moving furniture, appliances, materials, and other items as needed.
• Help prepare apartments and properties for new residents.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, lifting, and carrying. The employee must be able to lift and move heavy materials and equipment. The position may require working outdoors for extended periods in hot, cold, wet, or snowy conditions.

Work Environment

The Grounds & General Laborer will work at multiple residential properties and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, dust, dirt, noise, cleaning products, landscaping materials, and general construction or maintenance environments.
