Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift | Full-Time
Pay: $21.43 per hour
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — onsite training in Dedham, with transition to remote work after training
We are seeking an Enrollment Contact Representative to join a university enrollment support team in Dedham, MA. This position serves as a front-line point of contact for students, parents, and other members of the university community, providing professional and helpful assistance by phone.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customer service, call center, front-facing, or higher education experience who enjoys helping people and working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. College students are welcome to apply.
What You'll Do- Answer incoming calls for the university's main phone line and designated enrollment-related departments.
- Provide professional, courteous, and accurate customer service to students, parents, and other callers.
- Answer general questions and direct callers to the appropriate university department or resource.
- Develop a basic understanding of university departments and services to ensure callers are efficiently connected with the appropriate area.
- Utilize databases, Microsoft Office, and other systems to document and support customer interactions.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while handling a high volume of calls.
- Work effectively in a metrics-driven environment while meeting established service expectations.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism when assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Positive, outgoing personality with a professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a metrics-driven setting.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately to the needs and concerns of a diverse population.
- Prior call center, higher education, admissions, student services, or adult learner support experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation is required for the onsite training period in Dedham.
This is a full-time, first-shift position based in Dedham, MA.
Training will be conducted onsite to establish system access and provide initial training. Training is typically conducted in the office for approximately 1–2 days, after which the position is expected to transition to a remote work arrangement.
