Now Hiring: Hose Technician / Shop Hand

Location: Hobbs, New Mexico

Schedule: Full‐time + Rotational On‐Call


Position Overview

· We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Hose Technician / Shop Hand to support daily shop operations in our Hobbs, NM location.

· This role involves assembling hydraulic hoses, assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

· Candidates must be comfortable with physical labor, basic computer tasks, and rotational on‐call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Customer Service — Take orders over the phone, assist walk‐in customers, and communicate clearly and professionally.

· Hose Assembly — Cut hoses to specification, crimp fittings, verify measurements, and ensure proper assembly.

· Shop Support — Stock shelves, organize inventory, maintain a clean work area, and support daily workflow.

· Shipping & Receiving — Receive materials, verify counts, prepare outgoing shipments, and maintain accurate documentation.

· Inventory Management — Enter inventory, perform cycle counts, track stock levels, and maintain accurate records.

· Forklift Operation — Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials (minimum 2 years required).

· Measurement Accuracy — Use a tape measure correctly to ensure precise hose lengths and component fitment.

· Computer Tasks — Enter orders, update inventory, and complete basic data entry; TrueLink software experience is a plus.

· Physical Duties — Stand for long periods, bend, lift 50+ lbs, and perform repetitive mechanical tasks.

· On‐Call Rotation — Participate in rotational on‐call schedule to support after‐hours customer needs.

Requirements

· Basic computer skills (order entry, inventory updates, email communication).

· TrueLink software experience preferred.

· Strong communication skills for customer interaction and team coordination.

· Math skills for measuring, counting inventory, and verifying hose specifications.

· Minimum 2 years forklift experience.

· Tape measure proficiency — must be able to measure accurately and consistently.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, stand for extended periods, bend, and perform physical labor.

· Ability to work rotational on‐call shifts.

· Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
