Position Overview
The Production Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership of the tubing production floor. This role plans and coordinates work, drives quality and throughput, and ensures the team meets volume commitments. The supervisor must be a hands-on leader who can jump in on production or shipping tasks whenever needed to keep work moving.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize daily and weekly production activities on the tubing floor to meet customer delivery commitments and volume targets.
• Supervise and coordinate production team members; provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Communicate effectively with employees for whom English is a second language—use clear, simple language, visual aids, demonstration, and confirmation of understanding to ensure instructions and safety requirements are followed.
• Enforce quality standards and process controls; identify defects, drive root-cause correction, and support continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues, provide technical support, and perform or coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor workflow, material availability, and equipment status; escalate issues promptly and help resolve bottlenecks.
• Jump in as needed to assist with production tasks, assembly, or shipping/receiving to meet daily and weekly volume commitments.
• Maintain accurate production records and basic reports using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment; reinforce safe work practices and house-keeping standards.
• Coordinate with other departments (shipping, quality, management) to keep work flowing smoothly.
Required Qualifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication processes.
• Proven ability to plan and organize production work.
• Solid quality-control mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to direct and coach employees who speak English as a second language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel for tracking, Word, and Outlook).
• Willingness and physical ability to work on the floor—assisting with production or shipping tasks as required to meet volume commitments.
• Reliable, accountable, and able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing, fabrication, tubing, welding, assembly, or related production.
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Basic understanding of production metrics, scheduling, or lean principles.
Additional Information
This is a hands-on supervisory role focused on the tubing production floor. The successful candidate must be comfortable shifting between leadership, technical support, and direct production assistance as workload demands. Location is our Tulsa facility.
