Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and technical inspections of coating systems pre- and post-application
- Verify surface preparation compliance (ISO 8501, SSPC standards)
- Inspect coating thickness using gage measurements (DFT)
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards (NACE, ASTM, ISO)
- Communicate findings to project managers, contractors, and clients
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation
- Recommend corrective actions for non-conformances
Required Qualifications
- NACE Level 2 Certification (Coating Inspector) – current and valid
- Minimum 3–5 years of coatings inspection experience
- Proficiency with inspection equipment (DFT gages, surface profile gages, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of coating standards (NACE, SSPC, ISO 12944, ASTM D3276)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments (when applicable)
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- NACE Level 3 Certification or higher
- Experience with QAQC software and digital reporting tools
- Familiarity with API, ASME, or other industry-specific standards
- Experience in oil & gas, marine, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors
- Bilingual capabilities
