Job Description
As a Pharmacist at Total Care Pharmacy, you will do more than just dispense medications—you will serve as a vital healthcare resource for our community. You will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure strict regulatory compliance, accurately review and dispense prescriptions, and provide compassionate counseling to our patients.
Key Responsibilities

Prescription Dispensing & Review: Accurately compound, prepare, and dispense medications. Review prescriptions for correct dosage, drug interactions, and potential adverse reactions.

Patient Counseling: Provide professional, empathetic counseling to patients regarding proper medication usage, side effects, and general health management.

Operations & Quality Control: Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe workflow. Maintain accurate inventory control and documentation.

Clinical Services: Administer immunizations and health screenings (where applicable) and manage specialized patient care programs.

Insurance & Audit Compliance: Navigate insurance adjudications, prior authorizations, and assist management with quality assurance and insurance audit preparations.

Physician Collaboration: Work closely with local healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions, recommend alternative therapies, and optimize patient health outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm) from an accredited school of pharmacy.

Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of [Insert State, e.g., New York].

Certifications: Immunization certification and CPR/BLS certification required.

Experience: 1–2 years of community or independent pharmacy experience is preferred, but motivated newly licensed pharmacists are welcome to apply.
