CNC 5 Axis Mill Machinist

Pay: $30-$42/Hour Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Occasional Overtime

The purpose of our CNC machinist position is to assist our manufacturing operations through the precise machining of products on Computer Numerically Controlled equipment per the print provided.

Duties and responsibilities

The following is a list of primary job duties and responsibilities for this

• Keep work area neat and free of dirt and resin.
• Use all personal Protection Equipment required and follow all company safety policies.
• Coordinate and communicate with all other employees to assure proper workflow of product.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment used at all times.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Receive and follow instructions given by your direct supervisor in a timely manner.
• Use of hand tools or power equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wear safety glasses and OSHA approved steel toed shoes at all times in accordance to the company safety policy.
• Assure parts are correctly machined before moving to the next operation in the process.
• Notify a supervisor when quality issues are found.
• Read and interpret production sheets and or blueprints.
• Determine product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be machined.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years' experience running CNC machine tools.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Understanding of HAAS CNC milling 5 axis machine tools.
• Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Familiar with Lean manufacturing principles.
• Perform a variety of tasks including the following: Programming, setting up and operating equipment for machining and inspections, operating hand tools, and other related general manufacturing work

Physical requirements

Position can require the lifting of heavy parts on regular basis up to 50 lbs. Position requires employee to have great hygiene cleanliness throughout the day and proper use of proper protection equipment provided by the company.
