Machine Technician

Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred

Responsibilities: Includes but not limited to:

1. Setup and Operation:
2. • Set up packaging machines according to production specifications and requirements.
   • Operate machinery to ensure proper functioning and adherence to production schedules.
   • Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and product quality.
   • Adjust the weight to ensure packages weigh correctly
   • Ensure tracking of film on machine
3. Maintenance and Repair:
4. • Perform regular preventative maintenance on packaging equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation. Fill, packaging and Bartlet equipment.
   • Consistently cleaning machines at the end of production
   • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with machinery and implement effective solutions.
   • Replace or repair parts as necessary to minimize downtime.
   • Change film on all machines except for heavy rolls
   • End of day, sweep, mop, clean production floor daily
5. Troubleshooting:
6. • Quickly identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues that may arise during production.
   • Preform compression test to check for leakers
7. Quality Assurance:
8. • Monitor packaging processes to ensure products meet company quality standards.
   • Conduct quality checks and make adjustments to machinery to maintain consistency and product integrity.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
10. • Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and performance.
    • Report any recurring issues to management and suggest improvements to enhance machine efficiency.
    • Filling out all paperwork, cleaning, end of job form etc.

1. Safety and Compliance:
2. • Follow all safety protocols and ensure that machinery is operated in a safe and compliant manner.
   • Participate in safety training and promote a safe working environment.
3. Continuous Improvement:
4. • Suggest and implement improvements to packaging processes and machinery to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
