Plumber (Residential/Commercial)

Performs general plumbing maintenance, repairs, and drain cleaning using the Mr. Rooter 14 Step System. Maintains invoice records on all services provided at a job site. Maintains company equipment and tools in accordance with the Mr. Rooter Employee Manual.

1. Provides general plumbing and drain cleaning services for customers as assigned.

2. Responsible for communicating all information to include but not limited to job arrival, estimated time to complete job, job completion, etc.

3. Follow the Mr. Rooter 14 Step System on all calls.

4. Needs to be proficient in diagnosing customer concerns and estimating solutions using the Menu Pricing Guide, being able to obtain the customer’s “go ahead” for closing.

5. Responds promptly and clearly to any questions, requests, or other customer issues.

6. Rides along with Owner periodically to ensure that he continues to follow the 14 Step System and performs work according to code.

7. Maintains clean, neat vehicles and projects a clean, well-groomed professional appearance at all times. Responsible for trucks, diagnostic cases and uniforms.

8. Attends meetings and training, as needed. Participates in weekly, monthly, and special company meetings, as appropriate.

9. Uses good judgment and self-control in areas wherein the company entrusts him to maintain company and customer confidentiality. Responsible for maintaining all policy and procedures in accordance with the Mr. Rooter Employee Manual.

10. Sets an example in being punctual and dependable. Reports to work promptly. Responds immediately to dispatched calls during his “on-call” scheduling.

11. Perform other duties as assigned. This may include performing duties that are outside of the scope of normal job duties.

12. Establish a positive work relationship with team.
