Apparel Production Technician
Job Description
Threadfixx is a growing custom apparel, embroidery, and merchandise company serving businesses, brands, creators, and organizations. We produce custom shirts, hats, patches, embroidery, DTF apparel, and other branded merchandise.
IMPORTANT: This is a production position. We are looking for a hands-on production assistant.
The primary responsibility of this position is producing, preparing, finishing, quality-checking, and organizing customer orders. You will spend the majority of your time working with apparel, equipment, materials, and finished products.
If you enjoy working with your hands, operating equipment, following production instructions, staying organized, and making sure customer orders are produced correctly, this may be a good fit.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will look like:
Preparing apparel and merchandise for production
Assisting with embroidery, heat presses, DTF, vinyl, patches, and other production equipment.
Loading, unloading, pressing, trimming, cleaning, folding, sorting, and packaging finished products.
Applying decorations to garments according to specific job instructions.
Checking finished products for correct placement, sizing, spelling, color, and overall quality.
Counting and organizing garments and merchandise for customer orders.
Preparing orders for pickup or shipment.
Maintaining organized production areas.
Reading job tickets, order details, and production notes carefully.
Following established production procedures and quality standards.
Communicating production issues or discrepancies to the appropriate team member.
Identifying and helping troubleshoot basic production problems.
Keeping equipment and work areas clean and ready for the next job.
What We’re Looking For
Someone who is reliable and consistently shows up on time, takes direction well and follows instructions accurately, and is comfortable performing repetitive hands-on tasks.
Strong attention to detail and taking pride in clean, consistent work is a must.
You need to be comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday, lifting and moving boxes of apparel and supplies as needed, staying organized while working on multiple orders, comfortable working around production equipment, can identify mistakes before an order reaches a customer.
You must be willing to learn new equipment, processes and production techniques, work well independently and as part of a small team and understand that production work requires consistency.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person:
Custom apparel production
Embroidery
Heat pressing
DTF printing
Vinyl
Sewing
Warehouse or fulfillment
Shipping and receiving
Order preparation
Production equipment
Inventory management
Quality control
Customer service
Basic computer skills and the ability to work with production files are helpful, but we are primarily looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn hands-on production.
Schedule: Full-time or part-time may be available depending on the candidate. Typical schedule is during normal weekday business hours.
Pay depends on experience and skill level.
