INSURANCE UNDERWRITER
LOCATION Bedford, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
* $75,000 annually
* Full-Time
ROLE IMPACT
Support the client's Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) business by evaluating account performance, financial data, pricing, and risk. This role turns complex insurance and financial information into independent underwriting recommendations that improve account profitability, pricing, commissions, and coverage decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Analyze financial, insurance, economic, regulatory, and industry data to evaluate account risk, profitability, historical performance, and future trends.
* Develop CPI pricing and underwriting recommendations, including rates, premiums, commissions, coverage changes, and account structure.
* Evaluate prospective and existing accounts, build forecasts, and recommend actions that support profitable new and existing business.
* Partner with Business Development, Client Engagement, and Compliance teams on quotes, underwriting requests, regulatory changes, filings, and product requirements.
* Document underwriting findings in CRM systems and prepare management reporting on account performance, pricing, profitability, risk, and underwriting activity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years of relevant professional experience in underwriting, accounting, finance, financial analysis, data analysis, pricing, risk analysis, or a closely related field.
* Demonstrated ability to independently analyze financial data, identify trends, forecast performance, assess risk and profitability, and make well-supported underwriting or business recommendations.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with detailed financial and account-level data, premium calculations, pricing, and profitability analysis.

* Bachelor's degree.
* Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI), commercial insurance, specialty insurance, lending, banking, credit union, or automotive finance experience.
* Knowledge of insurance regulations, underwriting guidelines, rates, forms, pricing, and compliance requirements.
