Forklift Operator- Pipe Yard

We're hiring a Pipe Yard / Heavy Forklift Associate for our Southeast Houston area client! We are looking for an experienced, safety-focused forklift operator who is comfortable handling large industrial pipe and is ready to interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Pipe Yard / Heavy Forklift Associate
Location: Southeast Houston, TX
Pay: Up to $20.00/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Description of Duties: Handle, organize, and move large industrial pipe throughout a warehouse and outdoor pipe yard using heavy-capacity forklifts and material handling equipment. Materials include stainless steel, carbon steel, low-temperature steel, and nickel alloy pipe ranging from approximately 1–48 inches in diameter and up to 40 feet in length for oil & gas, military, nuclear, and other industrial applications. Identify and safely maneuver pipe, load and organize storage racks, load and unload trucks, and move material throughout the facility and yard. Additional responsibilities include lacquering and cutting pipe, maintaining the yard, and assisting with general material handling and cleanup as needed.

Requirements: Previous forklift and industrial material handling experience required. Candidates should be comfortable handling large, long, and heavy materials and safely maneuvering loads in warehouse and outdoor yard environments. Experience operating 25,000–30,000 lb. capacity forklifts is strongly preferred. Rough-terrain forklift experience is a plus but not required. Previous experience in a pipe yard, steel service center, metal distribution facility, oilfield supply operation, or similar industrial environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of industrial pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, and different material grades is preferred. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
