Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler II to join a manufacturing team in Dracut, MA. This role is primarily focused on cable harness assembly, including cutting, stripping, crimping, wiring, and assembling electrical components.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on cable harness assembly experience and be comfortable reading and following electrical schematics, wire lists, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble cable harnesses, flexible cable assemblies, bulk cables, and other electrical/electromechanical assemblies
- Cut, strip, crimp, mark, and route wires and cables
- Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, production instructions, parts lists, and wire lists
- Assemble, wire, and install a variety of electrical and electronic components
- Use hand tools including wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and soldering equipment
- Perform hand soldering and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components
- Operate basic electronic test equipment and semi-automated assembly equipment as needed
- Follow ESD handling procedures when working with electronic components
- Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, productivity, and safety
- Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of hands-on cable harness assembly experience strongly preferred
- Experience reading and following electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and routing
- Familiarity with soldering and de-soldering is a plus
- Comfortable using small hand tools and basic electronic test equipment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows-based systems, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform basic shop math
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical & Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands for detailed assembly work
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 30 lbs
- Work may involve exposure to machine shop tools, compressed gases, mechanical equipment, cleaning solvents, and occasional elevated noise levels
- Ability to meet applicable safety and PPE requirements
