PRN Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an as-needed (PRN) position in our in-office surgery center. This role supports patient preparation, intraoperative assistance, instrument sterilization, and operating room turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Work-Ups & Discharges: Assist with prepping patients pre-operatively, reviewing post-operative care instructions with patients and families, and escorting patients via wheelchair to their vehicles.
• Intraoperative & Sterile Processing: Scrub into surgical cases as needed, maintain proper sterile field management, clean, wash, and autoclave surgical instruments between cases, and manage instrument repair logistics.
• OR Turnover & Maintenance: Turn over operating rooms between procedures, clean and restock surgical suites, put away laundry and medical supplies, and assist with inventory tracking and materials management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certifications: Current Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Preferred Skills: Bilingual fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
