Parking Attendant

*2nd shift opening, Monday-Friday from 12:30pm to 8:30pm.

What you will be doing as the Parking Attendant:

• Greet all patients, visitors, and guests entering the parking facility in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide parking tickets to incoming vehicles using the automated ticket dispenser system.
• Direct and manage vehicle traffic to ensure safe and efficient entry and exit from the garage.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and general mobility support as needed.
• Offer directional assistance to hospital departments and entrances.
• Monitor and enforce hospital employee parking access rules.
• Require employees to scan valid credentials for garage entry when applicable.
• Deny entry to employees attempting to access the garage without proper authorization.
• Report any unauthorized employee access attempts or violations through established reporting channels.
• Open and manage gates manually only when necessary to support traffic flow and operational efficiency
• Assist guests and visitors with exit procedures, including guidance to payment kiosks.
• Ensure all parking transactions are completed through approved payment systems (credit card only at gate kiosks).
• Assist users with payment machine navigation and troubleshooting.
• Collect and handle validated parking tickets when applicable.
• Loitering or suspicious activity
• Vehicle damage or accidents
• Medical emergencies within the garage or surrounding area.

What you will need as the Parking Attendant:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months in a security/parking attendant role
• Strong customer service mentality
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended period of times.
• Ability to effectively handle stressful situations, managing any congestion of cars during the garage update
