Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of multifamily residential properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, appliances, and general building repairs, along with a strong commitment to resident satisfaction and property safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and diagnose/repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and other building issues.
- Complete make-ready/unit turnover work, including painting, drywall, appliance repairs, cleaning, and general repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, fire protection systems, and other property equipment.
- Maintain common areas, amenities, grounds, exterior lighting, and overall property appearance.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance parts.
- Follow OSHA, safety, and company policies and procedures.
- Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls, including floods, lockouts, heating/cooling issues, and other urgent repairs.
- Provide professional and responsive customer service to residents and property management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of Maintenance Technician or General Maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, painting, drywall, appliances, and general repairs.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and working in varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in an emergency/on-call rotation.
