Veterinary Receptionist
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced receptionist with a passion for animal care. Compensation level varies widely based on experience and satisfactory performance of job duties and teamwork during the evaluation period.
Job Duties:
- Greet and welcome clients
- Practice professional standards of phone etiquette
- Provide clients information about services offered
- Navigate practice management software proficiently
- Oversee food and medication pickup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked reception area.
- Balance every day tasks with monthly assignments (rabies tags, sympathy cards, etc)
- Deliver all messages promptly to hospital staff and clients
- Process medical records requests
- Schedule and confirm all appointment and follow-up types
- Receive and record prescription refill requests
- Perform opening and end of day procedures efficiently
- Discharge other administrative duties as assigned
Education / Experience / Physical requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education a plus.
- 1-3 years experience in reception required. More experience and competence shown during evaluation period translates to higher pay.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without discomfort or pain.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time when necessary.
