Summary: We are seeking a Press Brake Operator to become an integral part of our team.

Reports to: Operations Supervisor

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work procedures.
  • Ability to produce quality parts that meet company/customer specifications.
  • Record daily production and scrap in ERP system.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions, blueprints, and/or drawings.
  • Ability to follow daily schedules and meet production goals.
  • Follow industry and company policies, procedures and safety standards at all times.
  • Effectively communicates any issues affecting production to the team lead or supervisor
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Activities include lifting, stooping, twisting and bending on a regular basis.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate a press brake to perform a wide variety of operations.
  • Properly change tooling, ram position, ram speed and backstop position as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Receive work order through Plex
  • Review, obtain and set-up tooling
  • Press first piece and adjust press brake as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year press brake experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Have basic math skills, i.e., be able to count, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Be able to lift up-to 20 lbs on a regular basis. Occasionally lift up-to 40 lbs.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Ability to properly set up and operate Brake Press

· Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, etc.

  • Able to communicate well with others.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Great Attitude, Energy, Effort, and Attendance.
