Machine Operator Production -2nd and 3rd shift
Job Description
The Machine Operator will be responsible for overseeing the operation of various valve guide or valve seat machinery during the night shift (openings on both 2nd and third shift), ensuring production quality and safety standards are maintained. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this role requires attention to detail and adherence to operational protocols to support efficient manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth functioning
- Conduct quality inspections to verify product standards and create a quality product
- Reads routers, and production schedules for product specifications such as: dimensions, tolerance, and number of parts to be processed and when
- Verifies equipment including but not limited to proper machine settings, technacheck, feeds and speeds, filter gages, cycle times, accumulator/hydraulic pressure settings and other controls are in conformance to specification by using established standards.
- Complete assigned 5S responsibilities and general cleaning.
- Troubleshoots and performs appropriate maintenance of the equipment by observation and general cleaning
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in machine operation
- Mechanical aptitude to understand machine functions
- Compliance with safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail
- Quality control knowledge
- Ability to read routers and production schedules
- Math skills
