Reports To: Electrical Superintendent / Project Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrician to support commercial, industrial, and government construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working in regulated environments, the ability to read and interpret construction documents, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and government facilities
- Perform work in accordance with NEC, local codes, project specifications, and contract requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications
- Install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC), wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, and control systems
- Coordinate work with supervisors, other trades, inspectors, and client representatives
- Perform testing, commissioning support, and documentation as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Support projects that may require background checks, badging, or security clearances
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience (state-specific requirements apply)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to work from drawings, specifications, and work orders with minimal supervision
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Valid driver’s license/real ID and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening (required for government work)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on government, military, healthcare, or mission-critical facilities
- Experience with low/medium-voltage systems, fire alarm, or controls
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one (if applicable)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
