Innovien is supporting mechanical installation work across large-scale commercial and mission-critical facilities. We're hiring a Lead Project Technician to own HVAC installations end to end, from the plans on the table to the final walkthrough. What You'll Do

• Lead HVAC equipment installations independently, from mobilization through final commissioning
• Interpret plans, specifications, and submittals, and translate them into a clear installation plan for the crew
• Coordinate jobsite activity across trades, schedules, and material deliveries to keep the project on track
• Own installation quality and code compliance, catching issues before they turn into rework
• Mentor less experienced technicians and set the standard for workmanship and safety

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC installation experience
• 3+ years independently leading an installation crew without direct supervision
• Strong plan and specification reading: mechanical drawings, submittals, sequence of operations
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and manufacturer installation standards
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check (site travel and company vehicle use required)
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work at heights, and work in varied site conditions
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Nice to Have

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience mentoring or formally training junior technicians
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and controls integration
• Manufacturer-specific training (Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin)

Details

• Traveling technician role across Virginia
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, plus a one-week on-call rotation and potential overtime
• 6 month contract-to-hire, W2 employment with Innovien Solutions - converting to hourly non-exempt full-time with time-and-a-half overtime
• Once converted: 2 weeks vacation, 2 weeks sick leave, 11 paid holidays, 5% 401(k) match
