Job Description

Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs work on manufacturing engineering projects. Ensures the correct processes, tooling and equipment are available to produce related parts in-house or at a specific vendor in a quality and cost-effective manner to meet customer print specifications. Assist in the daily operations of the Lab to monitor, maintain and improve the quality and consistency of products produced through verification and control of information.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair machinery supporting the Pretreatment, E-Coat, Powder Coat


and Waste Water Systems in the plant, primarily dealing with pneumatic and plumbing issues that


may arise from faulty motors, pumps, valves, compressors, etc.


• Identify, organize and track all preventative maintenance activities and work with the plant


manager on keeping those activities within the specified budget.


• Maintain and organize needed hand tools, power tools, spare parts and consumable supplies


needed for planned and unplanned downtime issues.


• Review drawings for new product or product enhancements and ensures proper tooling and


processes are developed to implement change according to schedule; works with Operations and


Engineering to assure designs are released timely, purchased material/parts are received and


inspected according to schedule, and produced parts are manufactured according to specifications.


• Inspection and control of incoming inventory using various measuring instruments.


• Conduct pretreatment testing and maintain system according to Supplier’s recommendation.


• Conduct testing of E-coat system making adjustment according to Supplier’s recommendation,


maintain both paper and computer logs.


• Backup to lab techs


• Processing and documentation of all non-conforming materials in a timely manner.


• Complete verification or corrective action as assigned.


EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


• Experience as a Maintenance Technician for 4-6 years


• Experience working with chemicals


• Experience working with mechanical equipment.


• Manufacturing environment preferred


• Equipment Maintenance


• Technical Understanding


• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings


• Knowledge of Safety Procedures (i.e. LOTO, Confined Space
