Water Construction Worker

Savannah Valley Utility District currently has an opening for a full-time Water Construction Worker position. Water Construction Workers perform routine and specific maintenance, repair, and installation of water mains, valves, hydrants and water meters throughout the distribution system. Employee will work on a team lead by a crew supervisor performing tasks and completing work orders. Position will require participation in after-hours call out in emergency situations. Candidate will be required to be on call 1 week a month for normal after hours requests.

Company paid benefits: health insurance (from single to family coverage) after probation period (2 months max), $15,000 Life insurance, short & long term disability. Enrollment in Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System which is the state of TN's pension plan. $225 boot allowance, uniforms, & training.

8 hours of Vacation and Sick time provided each month after probation period (2 months max) then 2 weeks of both on January 1 of following year. Both can accrue from year to year. 500 hours max on Vacation and unlimited for Sick.

Paid every week. Will get a minimum of 40 hours each week. Pay starts at $20/hr and hiring with prior experience.
