Commercial Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our construction projects in the Greater Houston, TX area. This role involves working primarily on commercial electrical systems within small to medium-sized teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in conduit bending, wire pulling, equipment installation, and electrical system troubleshooting, following all relevant codes and safety standards. Reporting directly to the Foreman, you will typically be assigned to a single job site with a standard 40-hour workweek and opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Bend and install electrical conduit according to project specifications
• Pull wire and terminate electrical equipment safely and accurately
• Install and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and electrical schematics
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations on site
• Maintain and care for personal and company tools
• Coordinate work activities and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Adhere to all job site safety requirements, including OSHA-10 standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician license
• 5+ years of recent commercial electrical construction experience
• OSHA-10 certification
• Reliable transportation and own tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical conduit bending and wire pulling techniques
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems
• Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding electrical codes and specifications
• Demonstrated commitment to safety compliance and time management
• Effective communication skills within team environments
