Mechanical Service Coordinator & Parts Specialist
Job Description
Recycling Equipment Corporation (REC) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Mechanical Service Coordinator & Parts Specialist to support our growing industrial service operations. This position serves as an important link between our customers, field service technicians, parts department, and accounting team.

Responsibilities
- Manage incoming service requests via phone and email
- Dispatch and schedule field technicians based on priority, location, and mechanical skill set
- Gather and enter customer, equipment, and service information into our dispatch system
- Communicate real-time schedule updates, job scopes, and customer notes to the field team
- Monitor active field service boards to ensure prompt response and on-time arrival
- Track job status from initial dispatch through final completion and sign-off
- Coordinate necessary service and/or parts with internal teams
- Source, purchase, and coordinate parts needed for field service work
- Maintain clear communication with customers on ETA, job progress, and delays
- Partner with accounting to verify completed job sheets for timely invoicing
- Assist with preparing service quotations and following approved work through completion
- Review service documentation and follow up on missing job information when needed
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry, email, and internet research
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Reliable follow-through and the ability to manage multiple open assignments
- Ability to prioritize changing service needs in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable team player with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
Preferred Experience
- Service dispatching, service coordination, parts sales, or mechanical equipment-support experience
- Experience with accounting software, CRM platforms, or dispatch systems
- Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical components
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, field service technicians, or repair operations
