Veterinarian Technician

The Falls Animal Clinic in Palmetto Bay is looking for a skilled Veterinary Technician with a MINIMUM of two years experience to play an important role in our clinic. We are a privately owned, small animal hospital with a focus on delivering high quality patient care along with exceptional client experience. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Support and assist veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care

• Client education

• Anesthesia monitoring and recovery

• Must be skilled in blood draws and catheter placement

• Ability to read fecals

• Laboratory procedures, including in-house blood machines, sample handling, completion of reference lab forms, filling prescriptions

• Experience with dental prophylaxis

• Knowledge of canine and feline Vaccines

• Maintain and update medical records , administer medications and treatments

• Ability to lift 40 pounds, multitask and work independently
