Lamination Technician - 2nd Shift
Job Description
Position Summary
Our client is seeking detail-oriented Manufacturing Technicians to support the production of aerospace molds, tools, and composite parts. This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving composite laminating, vacuum bagging, mold preparation, bonding, and curing. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions and drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wet laminating and laminate composite materials onto molds
- Prepare, seal, and apply release agents to molds
- Laminate and vacuum bag customer products according to engineering and quality requirements
- Perform secondary bonding, potting, curing, and other composite manufacturing processes
- Use hand and power tools and standard fabrication equipment
- Read and follow travelers, build manuals, work instructions, inspection sheets, and drawings
- Cure parts using ovens, autoclaves, and presses
- Follow company, customer, FAA, and aerospace quality requirements
- Complete work within required quality and production standards
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Approximately 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hand skills, high attention to detail
- Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings
- Comfortable using hand and power tools such as drills, sanders, and grinders
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous composite manufacturing experience
- Experience with laminating or vacuum bagging
- Experience working with aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated manufacturing
- Familiarity with composite materials and manufacturing processes
Employment Type & Compensation
- Type of Employment: Full-Time
- Compensation: $22.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience
- 2nd Shift: Additional 10% shift differential
Work Schedule
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:45 PM–12:15 AM + 10% shift differential
