Restoration Technician

This role involves assessing damage in commercial buildings and residential homes (including responding to emergency situations), educating our customers on recommendations, and executing restoration processes to return properties to their pre-loss condition. A strong commitment to customer care, ethics, safety and quality workmanship is required at all times.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties to determine the scope of work required.
• Perform cleaning and restoration tasks for water, mold and fire damage.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively in various demolition and restoration projects.
• Utilize technical equipment typical to our industry (moisture meters, scopes, dehumidifiers, air movers and scrubbers, HEPA vacs, etc.).
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Document work performed using company's software applications and communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding progress.
• Fully trained and qualified employees are expected to participate in at least one week per month of after hours on-call status and respond to emergency service calls (special add-on compensation rules apply).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred; IICRC certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of fire restoration, water damage restoration and mold remediation highly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA workplace standards preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to construction and restoration tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to clearly communicate and articulate solutions in English.
• Must possess a Florida driver's license with clear or minor infraction history.
• Must have experience operating a van or truck.
• Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Must have a clean criminal record with no felonies.
• Must be able to routinely lift 50-75 pounds unassisted.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
