Role Overview

Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC) is seeking a motivated Buyer to support procurement activities for its custom manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience purchasing machined parts, fabricated components, raw materials, electrical components, and manufacturing supplies while managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Purchasing

• Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Procure:

  • Custom Fabricated Sheet Metal
  • Raw Materials
  • Electrical Components
  • Equipment
  • Tools
  • Manufacturing Supplies
• Ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules.

2. Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Resolve supplier-related issues and expedite critical orders.

3. Procurement Administration

• Maintain procurement records including:
• • Purchase Orders
  • Pricing History
  • Supplier Performance
  • Delivery Records
  • Inventory Information
• Ensure procurement documentation is accurate and up to date.

4. Technical Purchasing

• Read and interpret:

  • Technical Specifications

• Ensure purchased materials meet engineering and quality requirements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
