Pride Health is hiring a Technical Lab - Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility-based Arlington TX 76011. This is a 6-7-months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position Name: Technical Lab - Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Arlington TX 76011
Pay rate: $40/hour
Duration: 6-7 months contract with possible extension
Shift: 2pm-1030pm. Training will take place from 830am-5pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, reporting, and documentation.
  • Analyze patient specimens using approved laboratory testing methods.
  • Review, verify, and release accurate test results.
  • Maintain proficiency testing records and process QC samples according to laboratory standards.
  • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety requirements.
  • Identify testing issues, troubleshoot problems, and escalate concerns to the senior technologist/supervisor.
  • Follow established procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance limits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred.
  • Official transcripts required during the hiring process.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience; high-complexity testing preferred.
  • LC-MS/LC-MS/MS or ICP-MS experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong laboratory testing, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and work at the laboratory bench for extended periods.
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Manual dexterity for operating pipettes, laboratory instruments, and automated equipment.
