Role Description
Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for overseeing HVAC construction projects from inception through completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating internal teams and external partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project timelines, supervising site activities, ensuring quality standards and safety compliance, and maintaining clear communication with clients, contractors, and vendors. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with expeditors, logistics staff, and inspection personnel to secure permits, coordinate deliveries, and resolve issues that may impact project progress. The role also involves evaluating project performance, preparing status reports, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track and aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills, including experience leading complex construction or HVAC projects, with a focus on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with expediting processes, including working with expeditors and handling permits, approvals, and documentation required for commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of inspection requirements and procedures, with the ability to coordinate and respond to inspections, ensure compliance with codes, and address findings promptly.
  • Proficiency in logistics management, including coordinating materials, equipment, deliveries, and subcontractors to support efficient project execution.
  • Relevant experience in commercial HVAC, construction management, or a closely related field; familiarity with NYC building codes and regulations is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, conflict resolution, and mentoring less experienced project staff.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with project management software and standard office productivity tools.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time for Vermont.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • 95% of the work is performed indoors and 5% is performed outdoors.
