Electronics Testing & Troubleshooting

We are hiring an Advanced Engineering Technician to support manufacturing and engineering activities through component-level electronics testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and diagnostic testing. This role works with Engineering, Operations Support, and other technical teams to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuitry, operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and specialized test equipment, and support the design and modification of tooling, fixtures, equipment, and test setups.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manufacturing and engineering testing using test programs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, diagnostic equipment, and specialized test apparatus.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics to support testing, troubleshooting, and technical activities.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose component-level electronics and test failures to determine root causes.
- Conduct required tests, collect and analyze results, and report data in prescribed formats.
- Prepare failure analysis reports and associated technical documentation as required.
- Design and construct basic tooling, fixtures, and test setups to support unique manufacturing, engineering, and diagnostic requirements.
- Organize, analyze, and interpret technical data to identify cause-and-effect relationships.
- Recommend corrective actions and process improvements based on testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Assist with the design, modification, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations Support, and other departments to improve manufacturing and technical processes.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI tools and technologies to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Associate’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant component-level electronics experience.
- Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory, including analog and digital electronic circuitry.
- Experience performing electronics testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and failure analysis.
- Proficiency interpreting and using engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience using engineering and electronics test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, test programs, and specialized test apparatus.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and recommend effective resolutions.
